Fall Color

It’s that magical time when the summer heat transitions into cooler days, the weather becomes more exciting and many of our deciduous trees undergo a beautiful transformation. The cooler temperatures and shorter days trigger a stop to photosynthesis in the leaves which then stops the production of chlorophyll which is what makes the leaves green. With the lack of chlorophyll in the leaves, the red and yellow carotenoids that were hidden inside all summer long are now revealed. Capturing this amazing phenomenon of nature is always my biggest photography goal every Fall.
